Goal and description

The purpose of the project INNOlog is to process innovation, standardisation and development of new business models in offshore wind logistics.

The aim of INNOlog is to improve the competitiveness of Danish offshore wind logistics companies, and offshore wind in general to create growth in Denmark.

The goal of creating growth in Denmark is achieved by improving the logistics in a part of the installation phase and thereby reducing the levelized cost of energy (LCoE). INNOlog focuses on the value chain that starts with the major components leaving the manufacturing site and ends when the wind farm is commissioned and is producing electricity.

INNOlog is initiated after recommendation by the Cost Reduction Forum. The goal of creating growth in Denmark is achieved by improving the logistics in a part of the installation phase and thereby reducing the levelized cost of energy (LCoE). INNOlog focuses on the value chain that starts with the major components leaving the manufacturing site and ends when the wind farm is commissioned and is producing electricity.

Deliverables

·       A detailed view of the logistics part of the offshore wind value chain within the projects focus. The model will give the industry an overview of what drives value and what drives cost.

·       Minimum three specific areas identified with a considerable potential to reduce LCoE.

·       To start minimum three sub-projects focused on reducing LCoE, where the total effect of the completed sub-projects is a reduction in LCoE of 2% for a wind farm with FID in 2022, compared with one in 2012.
